Our Story

JGV3D is a small, independent guitar company based in Somerset, Ohio. Founded in 2017, the shop began as a summer project during school and grew from a simple idea — to try something different while building instruments that are practical, lightweight, and built to be played.

With experience building traditional wooden guitars, JGV3D uses 3D printing where it makes sense: guitar and bass bodies. Necks, hardware, and electronics remain wood and metal components, keeping the feel and reliability musicians expect while allowing greater flexibility in body design.

JGV3D produces electric guitar and bass bodies made from PETG or PLA+, weighing approximately 3.4 lbs. Most bodies are made to order and can be customized to fit the player, including pickup configurations, wiring channels, routing adjustments, and custom patterns or shapes. Select models are kept in stock when available, with clear availability shown throughout the site.

These bodies are designed for players who value comfort and balance, especially musicians who play standing, those looking to reduce overall instrument weight, or anyone interested in something outside of traditional body designs. The focus remains simple: build reliable tools for musicians and let the work speak for itself.
